Asif Siddiqui, I can understand where you are coming from but that wasn’t the point of my post. My point was that if there is a bond between the two then hearing the news of “moving on” one fine day is completely heart breaking.

I was suggesting that it doesn’t have to be like this, provided there was a healthy bond between the two.
