I deliberated on it but then ended up making a conscious decision to interchange bad and good designers.

My reasons might be completely flawed but here is how I looked at it -

  1. I didn’t want to get stuck into a gender stereotype showing good and bad designers.
  2. I didn’t want to portray a single designer being bad or good as it would have led to a a binary approach. The thing is there is both good and bad in most of us. In some things, we kick some royal ass. And, in others, we totally embarrass ourselves. You see, we are not epitome of perfection every single time. Thus, I wanted to interchange the designer to show that it’s alright being good in something and then being terrible in another area.

I understand that the interchange could be confusing. But, I still went with it given the reasons above. But, I can’t tell you how happy I’m that you observed this in such detail.
