I can completely understand why you think I might fall in the band of “bad designer” as I might have not come across graciously accepting the feedback about illustrations, or being defensive.

I so wish Medium.com allowed to post comments via hologram so that a person’s body language was visible too :) I wish you could see that I wasn’t defensive but a) grateful that people read, and critiqued the choice of illustration style, b) explaining my rationale, which let’s face it, could have been severely flawed. That said, when the time permits, I would do another version with a consistent illustration style.

On a personal note, I run a mid-size “design led product engineering” company like yours, and travel to LA every 2–3 months. Would love to get coffee/beers with you when I’m there the next time.
